ABOUT CHELVERTON
Chelverton Asset Management
Limited
was established in April 1998 to provide the investment management
for The Micro Quoted Growth Trust plc (Micro Quoted),
an investment trust listed at the same time. Simultaneously the major
shareholder of Micro Quoted, MAH plc, an OFEX listed cash shell, appointed
Chelverton to advise them on unquoted opportunities with the balance
of their funds of some £2m. In 2001 these two funds were merged
and renamed Chelverton Growth Trust PLC.
Chelverton commenced the fund raising for a new investment trust in
January 1999, aimed at producing a very high and growing income with
the potential for capital growth by investing in quoted and AIM-traded
companies capitalised at less than £100m. By May 1999 this fund
was launched as the BFS Small Companies Dividend Trust PLC with Chelverton
as the investment manager. It has since been renamed Small Companies
Dividend Trust PLC.
In January 2000, Chelverton recruited another investment manager,
Robin Boyle, who brought with him the management of a £2m investment
company, which specialises in growth companies capitalised at less
than £100m.
Chelverton is delighted to report that Small Companies Dividend Trust
won the award for the Best Performing Small Company Fund for 2001
at the PLC Awards, sponsored by PWC. In 2002 and 2003 Small Companies
Dividend Trust won The Investment Week - Best Split Capital Trust
and in 2004 Money Observer's Best UK High Income Trust. In addition,
Chelverton achieved a performance bonus for this fund in the year
to April 2002, 2004, 2005 & 2006.
As at 30 June 2007, total funds under management were approx £80m.
Chelverton Asset Management Limited is authorised and regulated by
