–THE FINANCIAL IRONMONGER BLOG NO 51/2018–
The computer problem turned out to be an intermittent fault in the motherboard, which is techspeak for it can’t be fixed. It was, the expert told me, “terminal”, without a hint of irony. Predictions of all sorts of chaos continue to be made, including putting 3,500 service people on standby. For what, no one seemed sure, but with the population of the UK estimated to be 66.5mn, they could be somewhat stretched.
Real time chaos descended on Gatwick airport this week as one of the world’s busiest airports was brought to a halt by someone fling a drone within the airfield. It seems extraordinary that anyone can buy these things for a few hundred pounds, no experience or license required.
So to raise your spirits this festive season, here are a couple of videos of different solutions, the first designed in Northumberland.
Have a good one.
