Tim is a business leader and entrepreneur with wide experience in founding and growing small businesses, both organically and through acquisition. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO Binder Hamlyn in 1984, leaving 10 years later to become Finance Director of Johnson Fry Property. In 1996, Tim co-led a management buy-out from the Johnson Fry group and became Group Finance Director of the newly-named Pinnacle Group.
He founded Touchstone in 2000 and, following an injection of private equity from Northern Venture Managers and debt from HSBC, built it into one of the UK’s leading residential property management companies. The business was sold to Places for People Group in 2012.
In 2016 Tim co-founded PfP Capital, the first fund management business established by a registered provider of social housing. PfP Capital is registered with the FCA as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager and has already secured investment mandates from the Universities Superannuation Scheme, Strathclyde Pension Fund, Nationwide Building Society Pension Fund and the Scottish National Investment Bank.
